"Transitions in life are usually marked by major events, birthdays, graduations, weddings; but the greater transition often come out of smaller moments, when we stop and look at who we are, because each time we see how far we have come, we also see how far we still have to go. In order to fully transform, we might need to free ourselves of everything we’ve been holding on to, to send us on our new path, the right one. But if at the end, you find the person you have become is not the person you want to be. You can always turn around and try again. And may be the next time you won’t be so alone when it’s over, too late to turn back now."

School is out, Summer is in!
School is officially OUT for the SUMMER!
Now all I feel like listening to is Bridget Bardot...
If you've been reading my blog posts from when sophiesmonde.com first entered the blogosphere, you'd know how extremely excited I have been for this day to arrive.....and you have also been a committed follower and I cannot begin to thank you for that. Today is officially the first day of summer vacation. It's not the sand in my hair and it's not the inflatable water toys that I have been looking forward to, to be honest, it's just being able to confidently say, I did it, I finished the year off (and on a good note.)
I would like to dedicate this blog post to this moment, for it's a moment many people are going through. This is the moment that people are letting go, moving on, or starting over. It reminds me of the seconds before new year's when time forces us to appreciate a moment. This is like that moment, because although it's not the eve of a new year, for many of us, it's the eve of a new beginning.
This post is dedicated to:
My friends who are graduating, congratulations and good luck to the next chapter in your lives!
And to my cousin Shema and her family who are moving across the globe to Singapore, I wish you all good luck as well and can't wait to hear about your new discoveries!
